Destiny (Last Chapter)
I take a glance at the clock. Ah, it almost time to pick (your name) up. Better go now so she doesn’t have to wait. I grab my jacket and the car keys. I go out to the terrace and see Mrs. Wisconsin waves to me. “Ah, good evening Mrs. Wisconsin.” I approached her. “Good evening, Leslie. Going to pick (your name) up? Be careful.” “I will, ma’am.” I answered her and then get in the car. Mrs. Wisconsin is our neighbor. She and her husband are very kind, they treat us like their own grandchildren. I like to visit them sometimes when I’m not coming with (your name) to work, and I always ask her to teach me how to bake. But (your name) never knows. I intend to surprise her once I’m good enough. [I’m on my way] I text (your name) before I start the car.
Ten minutes of driving and I’m arrived at the hospital. I parked the car and walking to the lobby. Where is she? She always waits for me outside the lobby. Oh, the
The One (Chapter 3)
“(your name).. I love you!” Leslie gave me a big smile. Suddenly my surroundings got blurred. All I can see is Leslie, holding my hands, right in front of me. The time stops for a brief moment that seems like forever. I can’t believe my ears. Am I just dreaming? Maybe working in a mental hospital has a side effect, I’m starting to lose my mind. Or did I eat something weird? Ah.. it must be the apple pie that I had for lunch.. so apple pie is bad for me.. Oh! Maybe it was spoiled? Or poisoned? “(your name)?” Leslie’s voice realized me. “(your name).. are you okay?” Leslie looks worried. “Ah, I’m sorry, Leslie. What did you just say?” I asked him. Who knew if I was hallucinating, right? “Listen.. I.. Love.. You.. (your name)!” said Leslie, pinching my cheeks. “You.. Love me..?” I asked him as I pointed myself.
“Say, Leslie.. Do you know what love is?” I don’t want to get exci

He was abandoned since he was a child he never knew how it felt being loved by someone, or to love someone. Well, he loves his family for sure, but I don’t think he know that it is love. Leslie still cling his hands on my uniform. I can’t tell him what he feels might be love, at least until I’m sure it is. “It’s not weird Leslie. You excited that you finally found a friend after being alone for a long time.” I petted his head. “Excited?” Leslie looked at me. “Yes” I smiled, “Think about it, before I’m with you, you always all alone, right? Even though Doctor Jimenez always by your side, but he didn’t really talked to you or play together with you, is it right?” I stroked his cheek. He tried to remember, and then he nodded

“Finally, I graduate. Now where should i work?” I sighed. I just graduate from college, majoring in neurology. For four years I have to deal with brain and the nervous system. It’s not that I hate it, I love it actually – that’s why I chose to major in neurology – but the lesson was very hard and made me hardly sleep. When I was just about to go home from graduation ceremony, my favorite lecturer called me. “Hey (your name)!” she waved. “Oh Professor William, what’s wrong?” I came to her. “I have a great offer for you, let’s talk about it in my office”, she said and dragged me to her office.
“So, I remember that you still looking for a job, and I just got a news from Doctor Marcelo Jimenez that he is about to be moved to another hospital, and he’ll need a replacement for him. Would you like to replace him? He recommended you, and you don’t have to do the test.”, she explained.
